There are two main methods of installing a shower into your home, a traditional tiled shower area and a pre-fabricated shower unit. If you're considering a new shower installation then it's likely one of these two options will suit your needs. More traditional tiled installations offer a shower 'area' in your bathroom, and involves more work (and more expense) as there is tiling and waterproofing that needs to be carried out as well as the installation of a shower unit which needs to be plumbed and wired. If space is more of an issue, then a pre-fabricated shower unit is a great option. These pre-built units take up little floor-space and come in a variety of styles and materials. They are easier to wire and plumb into place as well.

Compare Shower Installation Costs

There are a number of factors that will ultimately impact upon average shower installation costs. If you choose to go the tiled-shower area route then you can expect to pay more for the tiling work and waterproofing of the room to be carried out. Your choice of tiling and shower unit will also impact the overall costs, but the result will be a shower area that matches your bathroom perfectly. If you choose a standalone shower unit then you have a massive choice available, so the style and indeed size of the unit will directly impact the overall price. you can also choose the material it's made from including fibreglass and acrylic, not to mention perspex or glass doors. Add to this fixtures and fittings and you will see that comparing quotes for shower installation costs can be a crucial way to save money.

Q. How long does shower installation normally take?
